Dermatology consultation

Dr Hackländer is a doctor born on Saaremaa, with roots in the local community. After studying medicine at the University of Tartu, she specialised in dermatology and venereology in Germany. She has worked in dermatology clinics there for many years, gaining valuable international experience in diagnosing and treating skin, hair and nail conditions.

Her professional interests include:

• acne and post-acne skin changes;

• rosacea;

• atopic dermatitis and eczema;

• psoriasis;

• inflammatory skin conditions;

• hair loss;

• assessment of moles and other skin lesions;

First, a comprehensive nurse consultation takes place, during which the patient’s medical history is collected, skin changes are assessed and the necessary clinical photographs are taken. Dr Katri Helena Hackländer then reviews the collected information, establishes a diagnosis, prescribes treatment and medication where needed, and prepares an individual treatment plan with further recommendations.
